Clear answers, before you decide.
Cost depends on capacity, module and inverter selection, mounting structure, roof conditions, installation scope and taxes. SolarSol provides an itemised preliminary quotation followed by a final site-survey-based proposal.
Start with your average monthly units. The calculator estimates a capacity from configurable tariff and generation assumptions, while the final size depends on sanctioned load, roof area and technical feasibility.
Government rooftop-solar subsidy shown by SolarSol is only for eligible residential consumers. In Odisha, the current combined Central and State schedule is ₹55,000 for 1 kW, ₹1,10,000 for 2 kW and up to ₹1,38,000 for 3 kW or above. It does not apply to commercial or other non-residential customers, and remains subject to scheme rules, DISCOM verification and government processing.
A standard on-grid system normally shuts down during a grid outage for safety. Backup requires a compatible hybrid or off-grid design with battery storage.
Net metering accounts for eligible electricity imported from and exported to the grid. Rules, approvals and compensation depend on the applicable DISCOM and current policy.
Panels need periodic cleaning and a basic visual and electrical check. Frequency depends on dust, weather, roof access and system design.
